Window’s Blog released information about tweaking their fitness band to make it far easier to communicate your fitness plans with your friends, showing off your achievements, or posting summaries to social media pages like Facebook and Twitter. In addition to burning calories and getting fit, people like sharing the fun things that they do with other people to help memorialize impressive events, stats, and photographs.

Adding Golf Functionalities to Improve Your Game

Microsoft is updating a new mode called “Tournament Mode for Golf,” allowing users to play an entire round of golf while your Microsoft Band tracks all of the rules that the United States Golf Association has for the game. Additionally, the device will track your movement and health activity stats, but hide these stats (your step count, distance traveled, and heart rate) while you’re playing to keep you focused. After your game, you can log into the Microsoft Health App to record your progress and see how you did when you finish your 18 holes.

Throughout your fitness excursion, you might find that your newfound energy makes you want to do something especially strenuous. You might want to start training for a long run (like a 5K or 10K), bike the great outdoors, or start running a lot of stairs like Rocky— and now you can. Microsoft took the initiative in this new update to track the distance that you go, give you results and notify you when you’re reaching your goals. Plus, the software is flexible:

Microsoft is cutting corners, allowing users to connect directly to Cortana without using your mobile phone or smart device.
