I consider myself as cool a vaper as anyone else but never did I think I’d come across a vape that would essentially out-cool me. I also couldn’t tell you when vapes started to be made out of gold, but I can tell you that it was the right idea. What am I talking about? It could only be the Zeus Arc GT UK.
Design
This slick, understated, yet high-end vape is exactly what I’d expect James Bond to pull out during a vape session. The compact box vape stands at about 3 inches tall, 2 inches wide, and 1 inch deep – convenient. It’s coated in a black matte finish that keeps it discrete while appearing fancy to any discerning onlooker. This savvy design is polished off with the appropriate letters of “GT” emblazoned in gold on the bottom half.
So, never once did I feel like I was showing off while taking a puff on this cool box, but I did feel like I should’ve been wearing shades. Also, whenever I had gotten my fill, the compact Zeus Arc GT could make any easy getaway into my pocket, where it was light enough to forget.
Packing Up
But as they say, don’t judge a vape by its cover; rip some big clouds to make up your mind. Which is exactly what I did, so let me tell you about it.
First of all, the mouthpiece/headpiece comes off a charm. It may be magnetic but certainly doesn’t give that much-dreaded feel that it’ll weaken over time. The magnetic pull is firm, reliable, and a nice touch for fast use. Right under the mouthpiece is the chamber. Now, here’s the kicker. The chamber has jutted outsides meaning that scoping up herb is possible. You know what that means? You don’t even have to touch your herb!
There’s even a little multi-tool to make sure your fingers don’t have to do any of the dirty work when it comes to loading, packing, or clearing your flower. And there’s plenty of space for flower due to the large oven size.
Getting Started – Control/Temperature
Once finished, now it’s time for your finger to shine. The Zeus Arc GT function from a single ergonomically placed button just under the mouthpiece. From pressing this button, you can turn the vape on/off and select from its three temperature settings – simple. Better yet is that the vape turns on the minute you clamp down the headpiece again.
Once you’ve got your vape packed and ready to go, it’ll only take about 45 seconds for it to heat up to the desired temperature. Now, being so impressively swift to reach max temperature can be a downside for some vapers who like to dillydally or go check the oven during heat-up times but fear not. The product designers didn’t want your herb to go to waste, so they included an accelerometer. This nifty piece of technology triggers automatic shut down after 30 seconds if it has not detected any external movement – AKA if you’ve fallen asleep.
Gone be the Days of the Countdown
Anyhow, and you won’t have to keep peering at your vape to see if it’s ready to use or not. You’ll look particularly hip and mysterious when you just magically “know” it’s time to vape. Sure, you could tell your friends that you’ve got a sixth vape sense, or you could tell them it’s a haptic feedback system (also cool.)
The discrete haptic system makes the vape device vibrate when it has reached optimal temperature. That means you can know if your vape is ready or not by touch alone.
Cloud & Vapor Quality
And now for the good part. The vaping. To begin with, the mouthpiece is entirely flat, which makes for a change. This smooth look is great for stealth but also surprisingly perfect for inhaling. However, there is a bit of pull on inhalation, which is expected from portable vapes.
The vape clouds are amazingly thick and tasty, which I didn’t expect from such a small vape. They also didn’t burn my lungs – how wonderful! There’s only one explanation I could find for the Zeus Arc’s pleasant vapor experience, and it all lies in the GT.
Gold, Gold, Gold
Unlike the traditional stainless steel chambers/mouthpieces of most portable vapes, the Zeus Arc’s are made out of gold. If that sounds needlessly flashy to you, think again. This gold flair is capable of heatsinking. That means it can control the fiery heat created in the conduction oven and thus cool the vapor. Not even a slight chance of your precious herb combusting or blackening. The gold also works to evenly distribute heat throughout the chamber so you’ll get every last delightful drop out of your beloved flower.
Nowhere is the “GoldSink” effect more useful than on the golden rim of the vape’s mouthpiece. It seems as though the vapor passing over the gold becomes fluffier, lighter, and entirely delicious just before it hits you.
Battery Life
If all this sounds like too much power for one vape to hold, don’t worry, the battery doesn’t suffer as a result. The Zeus Arc GT is capable of surviving up to 90 minutes on full charge. The only thing that might make you wary about the battery is that it is not replaceable.
Is it for you?
Perhaps the only real downside to the Zeus Arc GT is that it’s limited to dry herbs, which isn’t an issue if that’s your thing. However, if you’re a fan of oils or solutions – this mighty vape may not be for you.
And to honest, it’s not a purchase that many will make lightly. The Zeus Arc GT comes with a relatively hefty price tag due to its innovative design and state-of-the-art technology.
So, you’re essentially paying for the ingenuity that went into making the vape? Is it worth it? I’d say a definite yes if you want a powerful, consistent, and quality vape that can sit snuggly in the palm of your hand. Not to mention the bragging rights of having a literally golden vape that comes with it.
So, why not give the Zeus Arc GT a shot? Its futuristic design is causing ripples throughout the vaping scene, with some claiming there hasn’t been a vape like it since the famed “PAX 3.” So, do you think it would look right at home in your vape connoisseur collection or even just in your pocket? Time to find out.
