Is Q Link Wireless The Best Fit For Boost Mobile?

Ever since the news on T-Mobile and Sprint merger came out, investors and companies are expressing interest in acquiring Boost Mobile, the prepaid offshoot of Sprint. One of the companies, Q Link Wireless, under the leadership of Issa Asad (CEO), is making the push towards expansion and could be the best solution for the said parties.

For their proposed merger, the FCC has mandated that selling Boost is a pre-requisite so the plan could proceed.

Issa Asad Q Link Wireless (CEO) has recently announced his plan to buy Boost Mobile for as much as $3 billion and with private equity backing. In an interview, the company CEO has told Reuters that the exact value will depend on several factors, including churn level, phone plans as well as offered devices, and Boost’s customer quality.

Q Link Mobile is one of the largest telecom providers under the Lifeline Service, a government program that seeks to help families and individuals who have low income. This they achieve by providing free mobile phones and a free mobile network service that includes text messaging, data and calls.

To date, Q Link Wireless has already over 2 million customers getting their telecom service via the Lifeline Service program. More than that, the company has non-Lifeline customers paying for access on a monthly plan.

If successful, the addition of Boost to Q Link will be tremendous. There will be an addition of upwards to 8 million customers coming through Boost, and hundreds of jobs will be opening right in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami area.

Mr. Asad has managed Q Link since its founding and has found success within the telecommunications sector. The CEO hopes that Boost will be transformed into the same company that she built, with unique approaches, solutions and customer acquisition strategies for growing customer loyalty and affinity.
