Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime security patch released

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime security patch released

Samsung is expected to refresh its line of smartphones very soon – from J-series to S-series. Both the Galaxy J7 (2017) and the Galaxy S8 have been leaked in full by Evan Blass. It confirms the leaks that the devices are near release. However, the company has not neglected their previous phones, Samsung pushed an update to the Galaxy J7 Prime phones. It’s more of a security than an update.

The update’s build number is G610FDDU1AQA2; it is expected to improve the security of the Galaxy J7. There won’t be any new crazy features or new design cues. It’s good to see regular updates, helps in keeping Android phones secure. There hasn’t been any confirmation from the company as to whether there will be any more changes. But reports do say that there will performance improvements (slightly).

The update was released in February but all the devices don’t receive the update at the same time. Android manufacturers release the OTA in parts, usually by region wise or career wise. The OTA might have already hit your phone or it might take some more time. To speed up the process, you can manually go to the settings and then about, select “check for updates”.

Don’t neglect the update, it’s very essential that you keep your Android phone updated. Android devices are usually not in great condition – updated – so, it’s best to install the update whenever there is one. These small security patches prevent hackers from getting access to your phone using malicious apps.
