Ad formats on Instagram are there for you to advertise smartly using Instagram.  Instagram lets its users post and promote content that has already been posted on the profile. If you as an Instagram user have a post that is performing well, you can promote it using Instagram in an easier and quicker method.

Below mentioned are the simple techniques you can follow to advertise well on Instagram once you have formulated your goal but before that make sure you have real Instagram followers on your profile:

1.     Identify your Audience

This is the first thing to do to have amazing ads on Instagram. To make an ad effective on social media, you need to identify your audience even before selecting the content you want to post.

You need to know and understand your audience well and craft your message accordingly. A good social media ad is that which grasps the attention of the followers and makes your ad campaign effective. So you need to select your audience smartly before you do advertising.

2.     Use Smart Text

Your text will make your ad go right or wrong. Select the image or text wisely that you will post. You can’t write a lot of words on an Instagram ad, so it’s better to select the text wisely by keeping the personas of your audience in your mind. Normally the text count limit on Instagram ranges to 2200 words. Try to keep your text concise and understandable.

3.     Use Hashtags

Hashtags are important and powerful. According to a recent survey, adding hashtags to the posts and content on Instagram boosts the follower’s engagement for an average of 12.6%.  For each post, several 30 hashtags can be used by the users. One more thing to remember while using hashtags on Instagram posts is that you always have to take care of quality tags rather than increasing the number of hashtags. Use trending hashtags to boost likes on your Instagram photos or alternatively use instagram auto likes option to get instant boost and likes.

4.     Engagement

When you want to have increased engagement on your Instagram videos, you need to first know the categories of engagement.

  • Proactive engagement: Reactive engagement with followers is when you respond to their direct messages, mentions, and comments on Instagram.
  • Reactive engagement: Reactive engagement is when you post first to gain likes and comments on your posts. This type of engagement is gained through marketing campaigns and product launch content.

5.     Consistency

Consistency while posting on social media is important. If you want your brand to be on the top brands, it’s important to remain consistent with your posting strategies. Your ad must have been designed in a way that shows your goal to the followers. Take care of the message, visuals, and tone you use in your content.

6.     Post fresh

Post what’s fresh and new? Killer ads are more to catch the attention of the people rather than old boring ads. You need to change the way you post your ads regularly. Use trendy styles and ways to post new content on Instagram. This will prevent your followers from turning out of your page. Another benefit that changes your content regularly provides you is to keep your audience interested in your content. You can try different posting formats, captions and you can even change your targeted audience every time you post.

Once you have posted your ads and all the contents you want to increase engagement on, you need to make sure that you keep a track of the content you have posted. You can view the performance of each ad you have posted on the ads manager of Facebook. By measuring and evaluating the performance of each advertisement you have created on Instagram, you can get to know about what attracts your audience the most. This way you can alter your future contents smartly to gain the attention of followers.

Tracking the performance of your Instagram ads regularly and knowing the analytics is important for many reasons. It lets you set new realistic objectives to design your future campaigns smartly. You in this way can gain a competitive edge and maintain a strong brand position in the market.  You just need to make sure to always keep a record of what you post.
