The summer is here and it’s been really hot, so we got to figure out how to stay cool and beat the summer heat. Here are some tips to keep cool during the summer.
Stay hydrated
Humans need at least 8 glasses of water a day to prevent dehydration. It is more important now that you actually do drink 8 glasses of water in the summer because it is really hot, and it comes with health risks. A tip to stay on top of your water intake is by getting a large jug to bring with you throughout the day so that drinking will become second nature to you. There are other ways to stay dehydrated like eating fruits like watermelon.
Wear cooler fabric
Select lighter colors and fabrics like linen and cotton to stay cool because darker colors absorb more heat. Try wearing relaxed or loose fit clothing to allow your body to breathe when you are outside.
Cold compress
Keep gel packs in your fridge within reach. Apply cold compress or do an ice bath to lower your body temperature in the heat.
Go for a Swim
Nothing beats the summer heat more than diving straight into a swimming pool. Spend time with your family in your new home at Island Residences. Go for a swim, you give yourself a good cardio session and exercise while enjoying.
Bring in Air
Ventilate at home every once in a while to let in some clean and fresh air to your home. You can set your electric fans to high settings or if you have air conditioning, set it to a cool temperature to bring in cold air. When cooking it is advised you open your windows so that it doesn’t smell like food across your home and also let out the hot air that the cooker you are making in so it doesn’t circulate around your home making it hotter.
