4 Hobbies for Introverts

Introverts, like every human in the world, still require the need for social interaction. Ideally, it can be done with one-to-one formats or in a small group. Here are some hobbies introverts might find interesting, and may want to give a try in their Otto Place condo.

Chess

Chess has been on an upward trajectory since the pandemic, with Netflix releasing a series called “The Queen’s Gambit” as well as the use of the internet to play at chess.com and other sites. Popular icons from the chess community are streaming and making chess content, like Gotham Chess or Hikaru Nakamura to appeal to younger audiences and expose them to the world of chess. Playing and learning chess can help improve your thinking and problem solving capabilities. Chess clubs don’t require much interaction like speaking so it is perfect for introverts.

Travelling Solo

You will be able to meet people naturally when travelling. Moreover, it will be easier to go up to people who are travelling solo just like you. If you head out from your condo, explore the city or travel to another town. You get to experience the culture of the area, meet new people, and go out with them freely while enjoying the social interaction you need as an introvert.

Movie Marathon

Introverts tend to enjoy themselves more if they talk less when social interactions happen, like going to a movie. Invite a friend or family member to go out or watch a movie at your place, or the theater. It is a good way to bond with them if you don’t really want to hold long and constant conversations. You will be able to talk about a lot when the movie is over so the topics come naturally.

Going to Exhibits or Museums

One of the strengths of an introvert is their sharp eyes that are used to observe. Going to a science or art museum with someone who thinks like you can be a good idea to bond and find out about each other’s perspectives about the world.
