The world is shifting from the face-to-face work setup to a hybrid or fully remote work-from-home setting. This can be fun because you get to stay home and spend more time with your pets. On the other hand, this can be challenging because how can you work and remain productive alongside them? Here’s how.
Allot space for them
Set aside a pet space in your home that has all the needs of your furry friend like food, water, toys, a comfortable bed and more. Train them so that they know to stay there while you work. Reward your pet with a treat so that they will stay there because you are giving them something they like.
Play and walk during breaks
Pets are there to remind you that you need to take a break instead of just working nonstop leading to burnout. Exercise your pet during your breaks by playing with them or taking a walk at your condo gardens or at a nearby park from Penrith. Take your pet outside and enjoy nature so that you can replenish your energy and focus while your pet gets the exercise they need. You can also sometimes play with them indoors to improve your mood.
Feed them before you work
Make sure your pet has drank and eaten before you start working for the day. This can develop a routine that you and your pet can follow on a daily basis so that they can eat on time and be cared for, and won’t distract you whilst you work.
Set boundaries
Set boundaries with your pet so that they know not to disturb you during your shift and know when it is time to play or work. With proper training, they will eventually get used to it.
No noise toys
Try providing toys to your pet that don’t make any noise so that you can stay focused, and at the same time they stay entertained. Give them toys like soft plushies and puzzle toys that can automatically release treats and keep them busy.
