Do you remember the last time you bought an item online? We’re guessing it wasn’t too long ago considering there are at least twelve million global e-commerce stores available to us now. E-commerce is developing so quickly that it’s almost difficult for retailers to keep up with supply and demand. From infant products to organic groceries, one of today’s fastest growing industries is actually men’s trendy clothing.

It’s almost difficult to imagine how men’s clothing was sold before Instagram and Facebook ads. To be honest, most “stylish” menswear styles were pretty mundane. Retailers predominantly stuck with plain clothes, like bootcut jeans and cotton t-shirts, because it’s hard to fail with necessary basics. With the emergence of social digital trends, it made it that much easier to discover a whole new demographic of men searching for trendier threads, like fashion clothes for men on Differio.com. It just wasn’t as evident because social media wasn’t readily available.

Although over a thousand U.S. retail stores filed for Chapter 11, these retailers ultimately failed to keep up with today’s digital trends. It’s imperative to not only create a user-friendly e-commerce store, but also to develop an omni-channel user experience that bridges the gap between physical and online stores. In order to take advantage of digital trends, men’s fashion retailers must be willing to remain open to change, even if the latest tech trends seem outrageous.

To put it in perspective, if people are using it, then why not capitalize on it? Here are the next up-and-coming digital trends that’ll shape the way every man shops for mens fashionable online clothing  in the future.

  1. Virtual Reality (VR) Showrooms

You’ve probably seen virtual reality headsets readily available for at-home use. What used to be a fictional device out of The Jetsons is now a digital product that’s available in most electronic stores. More importantly, virtual reality is shaping the way we shop for trendy mens clothing.

Today, VR allows consumers to set foot into a completely new showroom without actually setting foot in one. Men will be able to explore new styles of fashion clothes for men without the hassle of bumping into other customers, especially in high-volume stores. It’ll allow male consumers to actually enjoy shopping for mens clothing online without having to put much thought into it.

  1. Anonymous Social Networks

Apparently, social media networks are starting to get less social – to an extent. Just like television and radio, it’s only a matter of time until another media platform dominates Facebook and Instagram. Today’s anonymous social-media apps, including Whisper, Secret and Confide, are designed so people can post literally anything without being tracked, even by the app designers.

While anonymous social-media networks are groundbreaking for users, it’s also a revolutionary way to develop men’s fashion marketing. Instead of creating polls on mens streetwear that might be biased, marketing experts can get a whole new and honest perspective on their users’ shopping experience. Retailers will be able to ask questions like, “Do you prefer to wear sexy clothes for men or urban clothing for men at the gym?” without their customers skewing their opinion.

  1. Drone Delivery

Have you ever wondered what it’d be like if a robot delivered the package you ordered online? It might seem crazy, but drones could open the door to new pack-and-ship possibilities, especially for mens clothing online. If there’s one thing in demand right now, it’s faster shipping times. People just aren’t patient enough to wait weeks for a new pair of mens distressed jeans.

Retail experts are already suspecting that drones could be more cost effective for warehouses. These small-but-speedy flying devices can fly up to 100 mph, making it possible to move clothing items between warehouses quicker than a massive truck at 40 mph. It’s safe to say that door-to-door delivery by drones still have a ways to go, but it could cut down the need for a sizeable warehouse crew.
