Sharing files online is more of a chore than it really needs to be. But these anonymous file sharing sites are determined to fix that. We tested several of the best anonymous file sharing sites to see if they’re really as safe and easy to use as they say they are. Here are the results from our work:

1. Sql.gg (Best Pick!)

By far the most user-friendly anonymous file sharing site, sql.gg takes the top spot for best anonymous file sharing site. It’s the only free host on this list to offer mirrored links, 25 GB of free file sharing, and the ability to delete your uploaded content at any time to free up more space.

This site also earns our seal of approval because users don’t have to create an account to use it (that’s one less password to remember!). All the data is encrypted on their server using AES 256 encryption.

Also worth mentioning is that their files do not expire or get deleted after a month or two like many other anonymous file sharing sites. This gives you more control over your content, plus the platform offers three mirrors for all uploaded files so that you always have a backup copy.

2. Firefox Send

Firefox Send has a strong name behind it and plenty of features. We like it because you can send large files (up to 1 GB) at a time. What’s more, the site also offers high-level encryption so that you don’t leave any cookies or web presence. It’s a straightforward process that doesn’t require any tech skills or background, so anyone can use it.

One potential downside: the link expires within 24 hours. Your recipient needs to be prepared to receive the file when you send it; otherwise, they might miss out.

3. Anonymousfiles.io

Anonymous in every sense of the word, this file sharing site lives up to its name. Send files up to 5 GB in size and feel confident your content is kept a secret. We also love this option because its drag-and-drop interface makes it super easy to use.

4. SendSpace

SendSpace is a powerful solution in that it can send small and large files alike, but there are a few extra hoops to jump through. Files up to 300 MB are free, or you can create an account to send larger files. Files are stored for a max of 30 days, then deleted forever unless you get a paid subscription.

5. AnonFiles

Another free anonymous file sharing tool, AnonFiles offers a generous 20 GB file limit. You should also check out their API that can further make sharing files a breeze.

6. GoFile

GoFile has everything going for it: completely free, super fast, and highly secure. File sharing is truly anonymous with no cookies or ads, plus they don’t store information on its users.

Have you tried any of these anonymous file sharing sites? Let us know your favorites in the comments.
