Getting better at Tennis – Our best tips!

If you ask a random person what sport do they think is the classiest, there’s a decent chance the majority of them will mention Tennis.

Tennis is the ultimate challenge which requires its players to be both agile and precise.

If you’re a tennis player and are looking to improve your game, then you’re in the right place. In this segment, we’ll go over a few tips and tricks that helped us in the past, and we hope that they’ll help you as well.

Note that most of these tips can be used in conjunction. However, it’s best to take it one step at a time for the best benefits.

This will also help you stay consistent and not lose motivation down the road.

Without further ado, here are our top methods for how you can get better at Tennis!

  •       Get your leg behind the ball

Bradley Klahn, the winner of the 2010 NCAA Singles, always mentions that his secret is by always making sure that his body weight is on his back leg.

By keeping your weight back and behind the ball, you’ll have a better brace and starting position with which you’ll hit the ball.

This will also translate to an increase in precision and shot strength down the road.

  •       Educate yourself

If you play Tennis, then there’s a decent chance you keep up with the industry as well. Pro-stave.com and similar sites are a great way to keep yourself updated with current trends and techniques in the industry.

The key to enhancing your experience and being a better player relies solely on how well you can absorb information and educate yourself about Tennis.

Try to study patterns and how famous athletes play. Note their technique and how they compose themselves. Replicate their behavior and see if it works for you or not. Do not be afraid to experiment.

If you’re already knowledgeable about the sport and keep up with the updates, it’s always a good idea to make some money off of it. Platforms such as Bet365 are quite famous and might be able to help you find your niche.

  •       Don’t go for the line all the time

The main difference between a professional and an amateur is that the latter can often be reckless.

When playing against an opponent who has an advantage over you, the last thing you need is to be aggressive with your technique.

Always ensure that you play your shot in a region where you’re certain that you can play offensive with minimal risk.

This will also help you with the quick decision in your journey as an athlete.

  •       Identify weakness early on

A smart athlete will acknowledge his/her weakness and try to work on it.

A genius athlete, however, will identify their opponent’s weakness and use it against them.

Unless your opponent is ambidextrous, there’s a decent chance that he/she will have some weakness.

During the first twenty minutes, try to find that weak spot that you can use later on.

Things such as a weak back-hand or a mediocre lob can shift the momentum in your favor.

  •       Keep up with mobility

A fit athlete is a successful athlete.

Always stay on top of your mobility work. Make sure that you stretch well and good before and after every game to stimulate blood flow and muscle recovery.

  •       Upgrade your gear

Though this isn’t much of a limiting factor, your gear can often be the difference between good and great.

If you believe you’ve mastered the main techniques but still are falling short, then it’s high time you change your gear.

All of these points are those that worked for us, and we hope that they work for you as well. All of these are opinions, not facts, which is why you might also have to customize them a little bit for them to work best!
