A lot of people are calling themselves gamers nowadays but only play one or two online games. The true gamer appreciates fine games regardless of whether they’re online or offline, or which year they were released. In short, the gamer would know which games are iconic and here to stay and will play them forever. Here are several such titles for any true gamer:
Red Dead Redemption 2
This is a pretty recent title, but it deserves a spot on this list. It’s an iconic game as it takes you to the Wild West where cowboys roam. You’ll play as a cowboy too and you’ll do all sorts of stuff. You’ll even be able to visit saloons to rest your legs and play some card games as well. Poker was pretty popular back then.
Poker is pretty popular now too, and there are millions of poker players worldwide. Poker is mostly played online nowadays as plenty of casino sites offer such games. Besides poker, punters can enjoy other sorts of casino games such as slot titles. There are established sites and new ones popping up left and right. Sites like spinsify.com/uk cover all these sites and offer suggestions to all sorts of players. The important thing here is to enjoy these sites and their games responsibly.
The Resident Evil Franchise
From the Wild West, we move on to the horror genre. Resident Evil is a franchise that has been spanning for a couple of years and it shows no signs of stopping. It started out a while ago with the incident in the Spencer mansion. A team was sent to investigate and depending on your choice you get to play with either Jill or Chris. You’ll soon find out that the mansion is overrun by zombies and mutated pups too. And when you get to the lab you’ll find out why.
In short, a virus is responsible for everything and it doesn’t take long for it to spread across Raccoon City. This takes the player to the events of the second game where you play as either Leon or Claire. You roam about a police station looking for a way out. The third game is set in the same city but puts you back into Jill’s shoes. In short, there are many protagonists and virus outbreaks all over the world and you’ll rush to stop them. The franchise will give you shivers and will have you terrified at night, but that’s what horror games do.
The Half-Life Franchise
Regardless if you go for the first or the second title you won’t be disappointed. The first one introduces you to the Stoic Gordon Freeman and the Black Mesa facility. After the incident, you’ll need to fight your way to escapes. Your enemies will range from aliens to spec ops officers looking to shut the whole thing down and eliminate everyone involved. You’ll also get to meet the mysterious G-man.
It is this man that wakes you up in the second title and has you helping the Resistance to beat the Combine, an alien race that has conquered Earth. This title continues into episodes 1 and 2 where you find out that the G-man isn’t actually on your side. It’s an amazing sci-fi franchise like no other, something a true gamer would appreciate.
