Whenever Cristiano Ronaldo scores a goal, you’re tempted to immediately look away or head to the kitchen to make a cup of tea given that you know exactly what is coming next. Indeed, if you’ve been neglecting your own training regime, then the sight of a shirtless Ronaldo is going to heap even more guilt onto you. So, how does this extraordinary athlete, at 36 years old, have a biological age of 23?
Another historic night! Unforgettable 🙏🏽

Dedication is the short answer. Yes, Ronaldo’s training exercise would only really suit someone who’s paid millions of pounds every month to exclusively play football. In other words, with all the demands of working life for everyone else, it would be hard to justify five naps a day at 90 minutes each. That’s right, the Portuguese superstar naps up to five times a day in between cardiovascular and weight training, and of course spending time with his family. Now imagine telling your boss that you were just going to nip off and have one of your five naps over the course of a working day: it wouldn’t work, would it?
There are some elements to Ronaldo’s training lifestyle that we can adopt, though, and that’s his diet. Indeed, the 36-year-old eats a high protein diet that’s accompanied by an abundance of fruit, vegetables, and whole-grain carbs. Perhaps most importantly still, Ronaldo avoids sugary food and drink at all costs.
It takes an iron will to stick to that religiously, but you do get the overwhelming sense that Ronaldo is an extremely driven individual who doesn’t mind stepping on toes to get what he wants. Just think back to the Euro Championships over the summer of 2021 and the indecent where Ronaldo moved two Coca-Cola bottles that were in front of him during a press conference so they were out of sight. The 36-year-old then proclaimed in Portuguese ‘agua!’ whilst looking rather annoyed that he had to even make this straightforward observation about what people should in fact be drinking.
Do NOT put Coca Cola in front of Cristiano Ronaldo 😠

It was classic Ronaldo, driven, obnoxious, and the epitome of self-importance. But then who are we to object to what he puts into his body? This is a man that is defying the aging process. You need only look at the most up-to-date football betting markets to see that Ronaldo, at 36 years old, is the favorite to score the most goals in the English Premier League this season at 2/1. Most of his rivals in the race for the Golden Boot are ten years his junior, which is quite extraordinary when you think about it, but then again, Ronaldo is far from finished.
Indeed, the Manchester United player has said that he will carry on playing at the top level until he’s at least 41-years-old. That would be a first but you just know that this phenomenal individual will move heaven and earth in order to back those clams up.
Yes, Ronaldo’s secret to everlasting youth is his backbreaking exercise regime and his uncompromising diet, but it is his dogged attitude towards rewriting history that is just as important as it fuels his dreams.
