Let’s start off with don’ts of Instagram. One do not want to be using these likes for apps or following exchange apps or buying followers because while these may grow following and they are not going to be actively engaged followers. They gonna be called ghost followers. People follow the account but do not interact to engage with the content.
1) Hastag secrets
One have probably heard this thousands of times, one should always Hastag their images. Hastag images always performs better than images without them and statistically it’s been found that images with 11 or more hastags such as What is bitcoin trader? perform the best. One is allowed up to 30 hastags on their image with instagram and the hastag one want to be using should have about half a million or less post on them, the reason for this image is one do not want to get their image drowned out.
2) Be active and engage
When one is engaging and interacting with other people’s photos, post comments that are more than just nice pic or cool photos because these sounds like bots and they sound robotic and they do not sound real or genuine. Talk to the people as if they are real people because they are.
3) Feed aesthetic
The truth with instagram is the more consistent your feed looks and the more consistently one post, the bigger will they get, if one want to take photos like a pro and enjoy sharing them, I suggest setting up multiple accounts or set up a blog where one can share photos or set up the own website and one post what their heart desires. Portrait images receives more engagement on Instagram clearly because they take up more screen real estate.
4) Cross promotion or cross pollination
Even though when one have multiple platforms like WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, LinkedIn. One probably have different audiences on each of them so by merging them and getting the audiences to spread across platforms, it will help to grow as well.
5) Sticking to a niche/category
Once one have picked a category whether it be portrait, travel, fitness, wildlife whatever it may be. Try and only follow accounts within that niche. If one want to grow their Instagram account only follow accounts within the niche. The reason for this is that one get lumped with those other creators. So if one liking and interacting with accounts that are similar to theirs, Instagram is going to suggest them to those people’s followers or when a new person visits their account and clicks follow then they may pop up each time.
6) Nurture your community
Interact with the followers that one already have, they are already following. Those are the people that one should be most grateful for. So interact with them, talk to them, ask them questions when someone comments on your post comment back, reply to them and that helps engagement as well.
7) Understand your analytics
Use the analytics and find the best time to post the photos. This can make or break one’s post as well, depending on which time of one post their photo.
