Recently Asus revealed the price of the Zenfone 3 Zoom before the actual release. The US variant would be priced at $399. The company had also said that the device would be hitting the market in February. Well, it’s February. Right? Wait, lemme check. Yeah, it’s February and the device is still not in the market. I wonder why?!
An Asus follower was also wondering as to why the device has not made its way to the market, so, he questioned the company and surprisingly enough, the company responded saying that they’ll be working on the device a little longer, to upgrade the specifications. Also to be noted is that, the device will be released in the second quarter of this year.
In Asus’ own words,
“We’re reworking it with better specs so you and many others can have an awesome smartphone to use”.
The revealed specifications of Zenfone 3 Zoom are very interesting – 128 gigabytes of storage, 4 gigabytes of RAM, and a whopping 5000 MAh battery. The screen will measure 5.5 inches (Full HD, 1920 x 1080), AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip, dual camera setup (12 megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and another 12-megapixel camera for 2.3x optical zoom).
The front snapper will be a 13-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The device will reportedly also feature screen flash feature. The specifications are the ones that were revealed before the company said that the product will be delayed, so, it might be changing for good even though it was good already. Fingers crossed till then!
