5 Things You Should Know About Static Residential Proxies
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Getting an IP proxy is essential for those who want to browse the internet under a different identity. A proxy allows users to use an IP address not linked to the user’s own IP address or location. It is useful for skirting geo-restrictions and other limitations placed on activity from specific IP addresses.

There are several different types of proxies. Residential proxies are connected with an IP address or a location. A data center proxy is not associated with an internet provider, service, or a physical address. These proxies are produced at data centers, which can host hundreds of proxies that share the server’s IP subnetwork.

Datacenter proxies are not considered secure as residential proxies and are often detected and blocked by websites, although they provide users with more flexibility.

Residential proxies are connected with a specific IP address and location. Dynamic residential proxies switch IP addresses at regular intervals, so it is possible to make several transactions and browse under different guises.

Static residential proxies are issued by Internet Service Providers and are linked to a single IP address and location. Static proxy servers are considered the most stable type or proxy and appear identical to regular visitors to most websites. Here are some things you should know about static residential proxies.

1.  They Linked to a Single IP Address

An IP is connected to a specific address and allows a computer to communicate with other connected devices. Websites can detect IP addresses and find out data, location, and browsing history from them. A static residential proxy uses a single IP address, whereas dynamic residential proxies will change IP addresses at specific intervals. A static residential proxy will allow you to anonymously browse the internet, but with only one identity or address per proxy.

2.  They are Easy to Set Up and Manage

Because the static residential proxy is attached to one IP address, it is simpler to set up and manage. Since the IP addresses stay the same, there is less disruption in the connection, and static residential proxies often provide smoother, more efficient service. Static IP addresses can be set up and maintained through a Domain Name System or a DNS.

3.  Websites Tend Not to Block Them

One of the main advantages of static residential proxies is that they appear to be just like real people because they are connected to stable addresses. As a result, they tend not to get blocked as often as data center proxies or dynamic residential proxies.

Websites, search engines, and databases have gotten smarter about proxies and may block those that are not connected with an IP address. Static proxies are the least likely to get blacklisted because they are legitimate and are indistinguishable from regular users. It can be useful for people who have been barred after using other types of proxies to get a static residential proxy so they can get past the ban and visit websites as usual.

4.  They Can Be Costly and Not as Easy to Get

One downside to static residential proxies is that they tend to be more expensive and harder to obtain than regular proxies. The most expensive options can run up to hundreds of dollars a month, but as with other types of proxies, there is a range in price.

These proxies may be legitimate and issued by an ISP, but that also means it requires more effort to get them. This can be an issue for those who need several static residential IPs to execute various tasks anonymously online. It can take some time and money to get a few static residential proxies up and working.

5.  You May Need Several

If you want to create greater anonymity and perform tasks that require using several different IP addresses at once, you can purchase a block of static IP addresses. Some IPS will provide a Dynamic WAN address through which all of the static IP addresses can be managed. Using a block of static IP proxies can offer flexibility with several addresses and the stability associated with static proxies.

Static residential proxies are a reliable option for those who want the security and efficiency of a stable IP address and still want to anonymously browse the internet to perform tasks such as competitor research and web scraping.

Static proxies are more likely to be trusted by websites and search engines, given their connection to a fixed IP address and location and tend not to get blocked. They are easy to manage and tend to provide fast, uninterrupted service, but they can be more costly than other types of proxies. Static residential proxies can offer significant value with their stability and ease of use and can make browsing anonymously safe and efficient.
